May Crowning will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 8:30 Mass

Parents and Students,
Here is some information about this years’ May Crowning. The 8th grade girls who want the honor of crowing Mary will need to write an essay to be considered. Essays should reflect how the individual's qualities are similar to Mary's and and explain how she demonstrates these qualities in her daily life. The essay is due on or before March 1, 2020. No late papers will be accepted for any reason. Impartial judges, who will not know who wrote the essay, will determine who will crown Mary. Judging will consist of character of the individual, actions throughout the year that exhibits Mary's qualities, and the essay.
May Queen:
· Type an essay on why you want to crown Mary. Focus on what qualities of yours are most like Mary’s. Please explain with specific examples.
· Do not include a name on your paper
· I will assign each paper a number
· Essay due on or before March 1, 2020 for judging; exhibiting qualities of Mary daily and your character will also be evaluated in the judging.
